On This Day: Sam Baldock at the double as West Ham outfox Leicester

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, presented by Heineken...

Promotion-chasing West Ham United overcame struggling Leicester City 3-2 in Championship on this day in 2011.

Sam Allardyce's Hammers went 2-0 up through goals from Sam Baldock and Julien Faubert before Andy King pulled one back for the Foxes, who had seen manager Sven-Goran Eriksson depart in the days leading up to their visit to the Boleyn Ground.

Baldock - a summer signing from MK Dons - doubled his tally with West Ham's third before King set up a nervy finish, during which James Tomkins diverted Steve Howard's effort onto the crossbar.
