On This Day: West Ham United outfox Leicester City
Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, presented by Heineken...
West Ham United produced an outstanding performance to score a 3-0 Premier League victory at Leicester City exactly a year ago today.
After kick-starting their 2020/21 campaign with a 4-0 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers the previous weekend, the Hammers overcame the absence of manager David Moyes due to a positive COVID test to thrash Brendan Rodgers' Foxes at King Power Stadium.
Aaron Cresswell provided the assists for the opening two goals, crossing for Michail Antonio to open the scoring on 14 minutes before seeing his long clearance controlled and finished expertly by Pablo Fornals eleven minutes before half-time.
And Jarrod Bowen completed a memorable afternoon that also saw Vladimír Coufal make his West Ham debut, racing through to shoot confidently past Kasper Schmeichel seven minutes from the end.
