West Ham Esports to take on Norwich City's 1J Esports!

FIFA friendly

It was announced yesterday that Saturday’s match against Norwich City at London Stadium will not go ahead as planned after the Premier League granted a request from Norwich to postpone the fixture.

But to keep supporters from both clubs entertained this weekend, our respective Esports rosters will be playing a virtual recreation of the match online on Saturday afternoon on EA SPORTS’ FIFA 22, commencing 3pm on Saturday 18 December!

West Ham United will be represented by Alfie ‘AC RedLac’ Calder, who reached the second day of the European Xbox Playoffs – the continent’s top 32 players – last season while wearing Claret and Blue. The 19-year-old is now in his third full season as a competitive FIFA player.

Norwich City's FIFA team, 1J Esports, launched in September by signing Kylem 'Lyricz' Edwards, who has been playing FIFA at a professional level since 2018. His best year came during the FIFA 20 season, when he finished eighth overall in the Global Series Rankings on Xbox One.

The match will be streamed live on West Ham Esports' Twitch channel - and whufc.com - for supporters to enjoy.

Can the digital Declan Rice keep up his fine form? Will virtual Michail Anto-neo repeat his four-goal haul at Carrow Road? Can Jarrod Bow-electronic (okay, tenuous!) keep up his fine form? Find out on Saturday afternoon!

Come on you Irons!
