Team News: Mackenzie Arnold returns to the starting XI against Arsenal Women
West Ham United Women have made two changes from Sunday's 0-0 draw with Everton for this evening's game against Arsenal.
Goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold makes her long-awaited return between the posts, as she makes her first Barclays FA Women's Super League appearance since the 1-0 defeat away to Brighton on 10 February.
The Australia international featured for the Matildas in a defeat to the Netherlands earlier this month, as she continued her recovery after spraining her medial collateral ligament (MCL) earlier in the year.
Arnold also made a brief cameo in the 11-0 victory over Chichester & Selsey in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup earlier this month.
Laura Vetterlein comes back into the side in place of Martha Thomas, who is on the bench. The forward has been suffering from a minor foot injury, which also saw her named on the bench against Aston Villa last week. She played the full 90 minutes on Sunday against Everton but will be rested initially against the Gunners.
Vetterlein comes into the team to make her 19th appearance in all competitions this season.
West Ham United Women: Arnold, Redisch, Pacheco, Flaherty, Longhurst, Dali, Fisk, Cissoko, Van Egmond, Vetterlein, Brynjarsdottir
Subs: Brosnan, Thomas, Mustafa, Barker, Denton, Beaufort.
