Young #HammersAtHome star and West Ham United superfan Liam Southwood has completed 101 dribbles, goals and celebrations, raising more than £1,600 for NHS Charities Together!
The five-year-old, who has completed every #HammersAtHome daily challenge set over the past five weeks, completed his amazing #Liams101Challenge on Saturday 2 May.
Inspired by and with backing from his favourite player Michail Antonio and a number of other Hammers stars, little Liam, from Rayleigh in Essex, raised welcome funds to boost the fight against coronavirus (COVID-19).
Liam’s father Rich had appeared on BBC Radio London and contacted a host of footballers from West Ham and other clubs, as well as celebrities and other supporters via social media to promote the feat, and thankfully the sun returned on Saturday as Liam headed into his back garden to complete his 101 challenges!
“I have been doing daily #HammersAtHome challenges and wanted to do one of my own to make money for the NHS,” said the precocious schoolboy. “I completed 101 dribbles, goals and celebrations inspired by my favourite player, Michail Antonio!”
