Community focus for fourth Any Old Irons podcast
The Any Old Irons have released their fourth podcast episode.
Focusing on everything Claret and Blue, the podcast has given the Any Old Irons the opportunity to share stories and personal memories with notable figures linked to West Ham United.
Guests in this episode are Joseph Lyons, West Ham United Foundation CEO, and Tony Cottee, West Ham United legend. The two chatted candidly with presenters John Chapman and Eileen Wade about their experiences, the changes that have occurred within the community over the last 30 years, and the incredible social and economic impact that’s been seen through the Foundation.
The new episode was recorded before the decision was made to postpone this weekend's game against Wolves. At the fixture West Ham would have been celebrating the 30th anniversary of its community outreach, recognising the West Ham United Foundation (WHUF).
WHU Foundation Health Manager, Maria Abraham, explained how she’s seen an increase in confidence from the Any Old Irons across the podcast series, saying: “The Any Old Irons absolutely love doing the podcast, it’s something they’ve taken fantastic ownership of; planning and researching guests, and delivering key topics of conversation.
"The great thing is that every podcast has a different angle to it and with this one there’s a slightly different style. I think when they first began delivering the podcasts they were a bit nervous but they’ve continued to grow in confidence as we’ve gone on through the series.
“They really appreciate everyone’s ongoing support and we hope that you’ll tune in!”
