Goals: West Ham United 3-2 Chelsea
Andriy Yarmolenko’s superb 89th-minute winner secured a hard-fought and thrilling 3-2 victory over Chelsea at London Stadium.
The final ten minutes of the first half bought drama to London Stadium, as Tomas Soucek’s first goal for West Ham was eventually ruled out for offside, following a lengthy VAR referral.
Willian then put Chelsea in front from the penalty spot, following Issa Diop’s foul on Christian Pulisic, but Soucek would not be denied as he headed home his actual first West Ham finish in added time.
Michail Antonio concluded a fantastic team move to put the Hammers ahead on 52 minutes, but Willian struck an inch-perfect free-kick to double his personal tally.
As both teams pushed for the winner, it was West Ham who would strike again, with substitute Yarmolenko showing immense composure to power home after receiving the ball from Antonio on the counter-attack.
