Hammers take on EVA Air Flight Simulator Challenge

West Ham United’s Official Airline Partner, EVA Air, has put the aviation skills of three of the Club’s first-team stars to the test.

Defenders Ryan Fredericks and Pablo Zabaleta and forward Michail Antonio were invited by Taiwan’s leading independent airline to test their mettle in the EVA Air Flight Simulator Challenge, which saw them pilot the landing of three simulated Boeing 777 300ERs.

The trio were tasked with making final approaches into three simulated airports – Brisbane, Taipei and Bangkok – competing against one another to achieve the highest landing score, marked on navigation, path of descent and, of course, touchdown.

While Antonio was confident beforehand, “I’m going to be the best – I am the best!”, there could only be one winner on the day – so check out how Fredericks, Zabaleta and Antonio got on manning their virtual aircraft in the video above.

EVA Air, Taiwan’s leading independent airline, flies to more than 60 international destinations throughout Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe where gateways include London, Paris, Amsterdam and Vienna. It operates daily non-stop flights from London Heathrow to Bangkok that continue to Taipei where passengers can easily connect on to every major city in Asia.
