A late plunder of goals saw West Ham United U23s overcome Sunderland U23s 4-2 at the Academy of Light on Sunday morning.
Second-half strikes from the returning Mesaque Dju, Xande Silva and Sean Adarkwa were enough to seal the three points on Wearside after Oladapo Afolayan's opener.
The victory saw Dmitri Halajko's side regain their two-point lead at the top of Premier League 2 Division 2 with just six games remaining.
