West Ham United Foundation make international signing
West Ham United Foundation have announced a partnership with Essex-based Levett Business Services to help drive growth of its programmes both locally and internationally.
West Ham United Foundation have chosen Levett Business Services to spearhead their international growth programme, capitalising on the experience and contacts that Managing Director, Neil Levett, has fostered over the past two decades in the sport industry, publishing and event organising.
West Ham United Foundation currently run a wide range of programmes within 13 countries globally, ranging from Social Inclusion initiatives through to Coach Education and Player Development schemes, which engage thousands of people each year.
All of the programmes delivered by the Foundation use the power of the West Ham United brand as a force for good.
Levett will focus on growth within the international area, making use of his multiple contacts, but will have the remit to grow programmes in the local east London and Essex area too and the relationship has already seen early success with agreement reached to run a weekly session for coaching at Aveley FC’s Parkside Stadium from October.
Commenting on the agreement, Levett said: “As an FA Registered Coach myself I love the opportunity to get involved with actual coaching sessions but this role will allow me to set up a network of coaches locally which will support the development of players in the surrounding area. That will be hugely rewarding, and something of a real motivation for me.”
Bryan Glover, West Ham United Foundation Head of Football Development said: “We’re committed to uniting our community, responding to local need and providing an environment for all to thrive – spanning east London, Essex and international areas – and this exciting new partnership with Levett Business Services will see us delivering to new participants from new local centres as well as centres abroad.
"Young people aged 7-14 will be provided with top quality coaching sessions as well as opportunities to develop cultural knowledge and language learning with the international programme.”
