Fixture changes: West Ham United have two September Premier League matches moved
Two of West Ham United’s Premier League fixtures in September have been moved to new dates and kick-off times.
The Hammers’ trip to newly-promoted Aston Villa will now be played on Monday 16 September 2019, with kick-off at 8pm.
The game will represent West Ham’s first visit to Villa Park since Boxing Day 2015, when Aaron Cresswell scored in a 1-1 Premier League draw.
Villa were relegated at the end of the 2015/16 season but secured a return to the top tier by defeating Derby County in the Championship Play-Off final at Wembley in May.
In addition, the home match with Manchester United will now be played at London Stadium on Sunday 22 September at 2pm.
The Irons famously defeated the Red Devils 3-1 in east London last season, with Felipe Anderson marking the occasion with his first goal in Claret and Blue.
Both matches will be broadcast live in the UK by Sky Sports.
West Ham’s opening fixture of the 2019/20 season at home to champions Manchester City has also been moved to a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday 10 August. It will be broadcast live in the UK by BT Sport.
