Pellegrini: Yarmolenko will be well-suited to the Premier League

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has welcome new signing Andriy Yarmolenko to the Club, after the Ukrainian linked up with the side in Switzerland. 

Yarmolenko completed his transfer to the Hammers from Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, signing a four-year deal, and will train with the side for the remainder of their stay in Bad Ragaz.

The 28-year-old brings vast experience of European football to London Stadium, having played in both the Champions League and Europa League with Dortmund and Dynamo Kyiv, and Pellegrini is delighted to bring the 28-year-old into his team. 

The Chilean is certain Yarmolenko will be more than comfortable plying his trade in the Premier League and feels the pacey forward will prove a great addition. 

“I am very pleased to welcome Andriy to West Ham United,” Pellegrini told whufc.com. “He is a player I have admired for a long time and my staff and I are looking forward to working with him.

“He has good experience of playing at a high level for many years with both Dynamo Kiev and Borussia Dortmund, including Champions League football, and has also has an excellent record at international level with Ukraine.

“I believe that his strengths and qualities will fit in to the style of football that we want to play, and are also well suited to the demands of the Premier League.
