Study for a degree with the West Ham United Foundation

West Ham United Foundation degree students at London Stadium

West Ham United’s Foundation are offering students the chance to study a unique degree this results day.

The Applied Community Sport Degree is a partnership between University of East London and the West Ham United Foundation, which allows it to deliver incredible opportunities to all students. The first two years provide the chance to develop skills needed to gain employment in the sports sector, industry qualifications such as FA coaching badges and fantastic guest speakers.

The degree programme explores a wide range of different sport related topics, both local, nationally and internationally. In July our students went to Vienna to help organise the hugely intercultural World United Games. There were over 11,000 participants from schools and colleges from across the world, showcasing a huge range of sports over the three days.

The event was an incredible opportunity for the students to learn and grow as professionals practically in an inclusive and international way. It also gave them the chance to network with likeminded athletes from around the world!

Andrew Griffiths, the Foundation's Higher Education Officer said of the course: “Here at West Ham United Foundation, we provide a unique university degree programme in collaboration with University of East London that offers our students the opportunity to practically learn and grow as professionals in the field of sport.”

If you believe that sport is the industry and career for you, and you are looking to study at university, then look no further. You can apply for our degree programme, where you can do all of the above and achieve a BSc (hons) degree in Sports Coaching or Sport, PE & Development after three years.
