Hammers stars try German delicacies

You don’t need to be a qualified nutritionist to know that footballers need to eat the right foods to be in peak condition for the start of the new season.

So in preparation for West Ham’s two-legged Betway Cup encounter against Werder Bremen, our principal sponsors Betway asked social media king and Hammers supporter Stevo the Mad Man to serve up a special pre-match diet for three members of the team: Joe Hart, Adrian and Angelo Ogbonna.

With both matches being played near Bremen, chef Stevo decided against the usual footballers’ favourites of pasta, chicken or rice, and instead plumped for a selection of traditional German delicacies that could be considered an acquired taste to some (especially Joe).

Watch the hilarious video to see whether the three players are able to stomach dishes such as:

  • Knipp (pork meat mashed up with groats)
  • Rollmops (cold fish sat in vinegar)
  • Rindsrouladen (beef)
