Don't miss the match programme!

Make sure you don't miss out on West Ham United's official matchday programme for our Premiership clash against Sheffield United on Saturday, as new owner Eggert Magnusson talks about his plans for the future at Upton Park.

The Icelandic businessman also reveals how he still plays football himself three times a week back home in Reykjavik, and how his wife has already become captivated by all things claret and blue thanks to the passion of the Hammers supporters

"In the 70s, I came to a game with my wife," he says. "She was not a football person, but at the game, the passion of crowd, the noise and everything captivated her.

"That is part of the appeal of West Ham for me. I hope the supporters will bring their passion to join me in building a West Ham United that can compete with the best in Europe."

The programme also features a personal message from outgoing chairman Terry Brown, who is staying on at the club in an honorary Vice-President role. He looks back at 16 years in the Upton Park hot seat and reveals how "it was the proudest day of his life" when he took over in 1992.

"As I hand over to Mr Magnusson, I know he is taking on the best job in the world," says Terry. "It was the only job I ever wanted. Every decision I have ever made, I have tried to put the interests of West Ham United first and hopefully I leave a solid foundation on which the new chairman can build."

To read the full interviews, don't miss tomorrow's programme, on sale around the stadium priced £3.50.

There are also interviews with Irish defender George McCartney, a blast from the past with former Hammers star Alvin Martin and a look at some of the different team kits worn by West Ham United players over the years, plus much more.
