The Dallas Hammers story begins on May 19th of 2012 when West Ham was fighting to get back into the Premier League. Two friends, Richard and Wayne, decided to meet at a Dallas English Pub that was known for watching the beautiful game as the Hammers battled to win the playoff to get promoted to the Premier League. To their surprise, 15 other West Ham fans decided to do the same that day and the result was an amazing time by all. A halftime a comment, from fellow West Ham fan Phil to Wayne, “You look like the kinda lad who likes to organize stuff!” and the Dallas Hammers were born. In 2015 they landed at McSwiggan’s Irish Pub in the Colony (North Dallas) and it was obvious from the hospitality shown, and the atmosphere generated, that this was was now gonna be HOME!!! It's a great pub with great staff and The Dallas Hammers love it there! They even converted a Man U fan to the Claret n Blue!! Thanks to the staff at McSwiggans (Gary, Tom, Lee, Kat, Denai, Mo and a few others along the way) they are at the pub for just about every match. West Ham scores a goal, they ring the bar bell, and the pub goes wild!!! Check out a video made a few years ago on their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DallasHammers1/videos/1427901703903581/. Although 2017-18 was a tumultuous season, the Dallas Hammers still mustered up to 40 people at a watch party and their largest to date has been 47... all West Ham fans!!! So go visit with them, as they are one big West Ham Family and love to see new faces. Who knows... you may never want to go anywhere else on a weekend again!
