Stop The Hate

Stop The Hate

WHUF's Stop the Hate project aims to tackle racism, discrimination, prejudice, and extremism. We achieve this by empowering young people to become resilient to hate and extremism, whilst promoting positive values throughout our communities. We deliver collapsed curriculum days in secondary schools in Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Redbridge to KS3 students. As part of these days we deliver anti-racism, bystander intervention, and online education workshops. We deliver this project in partnership with Protection Approaches and Shout Out UK to deliver this.

When it is running and where

The programme runs during term time, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm. Programme delivery takes place during selected days of the school year in agreement with partner schools.

Who is it targeting

Young people aged 11-14 from secondary schools in Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Redbridge.

Why it will benefit them

In a time where hate and intolerance is rising in our local communities, and harmful groups spreading misinformation on social media, it is vital for young people to build resilience to these methods and ideas and be taught positive values to make our communities happier and safer places.
