The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is a vital initiative aimed at supporting children and young people during school holidays.
The programme offers engaging activities, nutritious meals, and opportunities for social interaction, fostering a positive environment for personal development
When it is running and where
The programme will run during school holiday periods across Barking & Dagenham, Havering, and locations within Active Essex. Specific dates and venues will be communicated closer to the holiday periods.
Who is it targeting
The programme is specifically designed for children and young people eligible for free school meals in Barking & Dagenham, Havering, and Active Essex areas. It aims to support those who may be at risk of experiencing social isolation and food insecurity during school holidays.
Why it will benefit them
The HAF programme provides children with a safe and supportive environment to stay active, engaged, and well-nourished during the holidays. By participating in structured activities, they develop essential social skills, build confidence, and improve their physical health. The programme also ensures that they receive nutritious meals, which can be a significant support to families during school breaks
How to join
Parents and guardians can register their children through the West Ham United Foundation website or by contacting the WHUF directly. Each programme has a sign up link where parents/carers can register their children.
