Jeremy Crook OBE is the Chief Executive of ARE. With over 20 years of NHS Board experience, Marie is currently the Chair of the NHS North East London Integrated Care System, Chair of the NHS Race and Health Observatory and an Associate NED for the UK Health Security Agency. She is also a Commissioner on the IPPR Commission on Health and Prosperity. Regionally, Marie is Co-Chair of the London People Board and is a member of the Greater London Authority’s London Health Board, where she is also the London Mayor’s Champion for Tackling Structural Racism. Marie contributes to her local community as a Trustee on two charities, West Ham United Foundation and East London Business Alliance.
Her previous Chair role was at East London NHS Foundation Trust, which is internationally acknowledged for its systematic approach to quality improvement and service user participation. Through this role she has participated in international events, delivering workshops on the Board’s role in quality improvement. Prior to this, Marie chaired commissioning organisations with budgets up to £3bn and her first role was as Vice Chair of an acute trust. Marie’s employment background is in local government and not for profit sector, with senior executive experience in social justice, regeneration and equity.
Marie’s contribution to the NHS was recognised through the award of her CBE, her contribution to her local community by the award of Freedom of the London Borough of Newham and her contribution to football by inclusion on the Premier League’s Black Power List. More recently in 2023, Marie received the award of Honorary Doctor of Health Sciences from the Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) and she has been included in the Health Service Journal’s 100 list of the most influential people in health.
Marie has the crucial responsibility of providing high-level oversight and expertise to ensure the protection of children and adults at risk. This involves actively fostering a culture of accountability and driving ongoing improvement. As the nominated Safeguarding Board representative, Marie ensures robust lines of communication between the Board of Trustees and the Foundation’s Head of Safeguarding. She also ensures that safeguarding is a standing and regular item on the Board meeting agenda. The appointment of Marie, a non-member of staff, eliminates any potential conflict of interest related to the governance of safeguarding.

Jeff had a fulfilling 40-year career in the City of London before retiring in January 2010 and taking up a number of Trustee/Co-opted roles within the voluntary sector. In the City he was a dealer on the London Stock Exchange and handled Investment portfolios on behalf of a range of UK and Global clients, including Charities, Pension Funds and Friendly Societies.
Jeff has a number of external appointments. He is a Trustee and Chair of the Social Mobility Charity Leadership through Sport and Business, Trustee at St Johns Foundation in Bath, and a co-opted member of the Financial Fairness Trust Finance & Risk Committee.
Jeff was previously Chair of the Trust for London, stepping down in March 2023 having served on the Board for over 13 years. He was also awarded an OBE in the King's Birthday Honours list in June 2023 for services to the Charity and Voluntary sectors.

Born and raised in east London, Fatima brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role as a trustee. Coming from a low socioeconomic background, she is passionate about breaking down barriers to opportunity and creating pathways for underrepresented communities. She has volunteered with City Year London, mentoring young people, and is committed to using technology to foster inclusion and accessibility.
With a track record of delivering cross-functional initiatives and influencing strategic decisions, Fatima thrives in environments that require collaboration and problem-solving. As a trustee of the West Ham United Foundation, she is dedicated to leveraging her expertise to support the organisation’s mission of empowering communities through sport and education.

A familiar voice across British media, he has presented a range of documentaries on radio and TV, is a regular on BBC 1Xtra Talks, BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills Breakfast Show, and BBC 5 Live’s Fighting Talk. He also works as a presenter for West Ham United, the club he supports.
Beyond music and media, Guvna B co-chairs the board of trustees at national charity Youth Music, championing the power of music to transform young lives. He has visited over 500 schools delivering workshops designed to inspire and empower the next generation.
