The WHU Learning Academy compete against the WHU AcademyVlad's story

In early 2017 Chadwell Heath Learning Academy participant Vlad Sofroni travelled to Belarus capital Minsk, to join up with the Moldova under-17 side at the International Youth Football Tournament.

Having joined the Learning Academy in August 2016, Vlad's progression has been rapid, and he credits the programme for his improvements: "The Foundation programme gives me the opportunity to play at a professional level whilst continuing my studies within the sports domain.I really enjoy the programme. The people around us are always willing to help and teach us how to be professional football players. I made the right choice in joining the programme, because I have really improved in the 5 months I have been here and I want to improve more and more. I know the Foundation’s staff can help me further with that."

Vlad benefits from daily training from highly qualified FA coaches, in addition to guidance on his football fitness and nutritional advice. Vlad also study the BTEC Diploma in Sport, delivered at Level 2 and 3 standards (A-Level equivalent), FA Coaching Qualifications and core skills in Maths and English.

The Foundation programme gives me the opportunity to play at a professional level whilst continuing my studies within the sports domain.
