Hours/Shifts: You will be required to work five days per week spread over a seven-day period on a split shift rotation pattern, you must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Incorporating a multi-million pound conversion project to turn the Olympic Stadium into a UEFA Category 4, all-seater football stadium which will allow the Club and supporters to enjoy a unique and stunning new home.

The ideal candidate will need to deliver friendly, efficient customer service, to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our visitors. Ideally the candidate will have some experience in working in a busy sales environment in a reception or administrative capacity.
Flexible, quick thinking individual happy to work as part of a team or individually.

Responsibilities

- General office administration and support to sales team and management, ensuring all equipment is maintained, stationery is ordered, etc
- Answering the phones and responding to e-mails as required
- Various typing, copying, filing and other administration tasks
- Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
- Meeting and greeting guests,
- Assist in keeping the reception area and office clean and tidy
- Fulfill all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety
- Conduct regular security checks throughout the day and report any security issues to the Line Manager
- Report any maintenance issues immediately to the Line Manager, including all furniture, fittings and equipment
- Provide reports, as required, for management and any relevant staff member
- Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests and the emergency services
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing any relevant in-house training/ fire safety, etc.
- Always adhere to all company policies, procedures and laws
- Be involved and contribute at team meetings
- Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office
- Assistance with events/functions
- Teas/coffees/general errands
- Any other ad hoc administrative duty that may be required

Knowledge and Skills

- Administration and reception experience desired
- Confident dealing with the public and deliver excellent customer service with a customer focused approach
- Must have a professional and courteous manner in person and on the telephone
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Must be presentable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Very organised and have attention to detail
- Must be hard working
- IT competent with (excellent/strong) Microsoft Office skills
- Flexible with working hours as some early morning, evening and weekend work may be required.
- Be able to prioritise your workload
- Be able to work under pressure

West Ham United Community Sports Trust - Senior Education Officer

The position will be based at the West Ham United Community Sports Trust (Trust) Beckton hub site.

The fundamental aim of this Officer is to lead on the provision and development of the new Education Outreach programme. Their role will involve the development, delivery, management and organisation of curriculum and extended service provision whilst linking with the wider community to support the Clubs vision for the children and wider family across the local area.

Working closely and collaboratively with school sports senior team(s) and all relevant departments and coaches to ensure the aims and objectives of the programme are delivered.

Work closely and collaboratively with all Trust departments to ensure pathways are identified for participants within other projects and opportunities that are developed.

Key Tasks

- Management of new Schools programme across East London and Essex
- Management of new Apprenticeship programme
- Management of funded income and evaluation process
- Quality assurance of all programme delivery
- Management of delivery team
- Develop Education Pathway framework for the Trust

Activities by Key Task

- Design and implement new schools curriculum around Healthy Lifestyles (KS2)
- Build a working relationship with key stake holders and lead on various steering groups
- Lead staff training and manage the operational risk management for all delivery
- Control programme budgets and report into the main organisational financial systems
- Work in partnership with other Trust and Club department employees
- Oversee delivery staff and mentor apprentices
- Work closely with the Newham Inspired Learning team to develop further education outreach programmes
- Where required, support the HoC on other relevant Business Development projects

Specific Experience

- Degree in Sport, Education, or Physical Activity related subject
- Minimum 3 years experience in Sports provision and Programme co-ordination across Key Stages and FE
- Managing the quality assurance of multiple schools programmes or projects
- UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification in at least 2 sports (desirable)

Skills and abilities

- Ability to work to deadlines and time-manage effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to deal with the diversity of the groups involved.
- Good knowledge of ICT; willing to undergo training in new technologies.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Understanding of coach delivery assurance and quality assurance principles
- Ability to create new business or programme opportunities
- Good financial management skills with the ability of producing budgets and financial analysis
- Ability to coach sports in school and community based environments
- All other duties as required by management to meet the business needs.
