A talented left-winger, who made his full West Ham United debut in a 1-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion in the penultimate game of the 2005/06 season, Kyel Reid has already made waves for club and country.

As well as that West Brom bow, he also stepped off the bench in the final match of that campaign against a sickly Tottenham Hotspur side, cut down by a virus.

Reid also had an hour run-out in the League Cup defeat at Chesterfield in October 2006 before being loaned to Championship outfit Barnsley, where he made 26 appearances for the Tykes as they narrowly avoided relegation.

Going into the 2007/08 campaign, the England Under-19 player - who joined the club as an Academy scholar in July 2004 - was back at the Boleyn Ground waiting for another opportunity to add to his three first-team appearances. It duly came in the League Cup third round as his cross led to Dean Ashton's last-gasp winner against Plymouth Argyle. He signed a new contract until summer 2009 in November 2007.
