Supporters who enter the stadium on a match day should be aware that, prior to each fixture, the teams warm-up on the playing surface whilst the stadium is filling with supporters. Footballs are used during this period and there is a low to moderate risk to injury to supporters from footballs at this time. The match day announcer will announce the arrival of the players on the pitch for the warm-up period.

GROUND REGULATIONS
Copies of the ground regulations and conditions of entry to the Boleyn Ground are posted around the Stadium. However, we respectfully draw the attention of all supporters to the following sections of the regulations, which say:

12.
The use of threatening behavior, foul, abusive or racist language is strictly forbidden and will result in either arrest and/or ejection from the ground. The Club may impose a ban for one or more matches

13.
Racial, homophobic or discriminatory abuse, chanting or harassment is strictly forbidden and will result in either arrest and/or ejection from the ground. The Club may impose a ban for one or more matches

14.
The following acts are arrest able offences under the Football (offences) Act 1991, (as amended) and conviction may result in a Banning Order being made.

14.1 - the throwing of any object within the ground without lawful authority or excuse
14.2 - the chanting of anything of an indecent or racialist nature
14.3 - the entry onto the playing area or any adjacent area to which spectators are not generally admitted without lawful authority or excuse.

15.
Under the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985 (as amended), The following are offences for which a person can be arrested by a Police Officer and conviction could result in a Banning Order being made:

15.1 - Attempting to enter the Ground or being inside the Ground whilst drunk:
15.2 - Being in possession of any intoxicating liquor, or bottle, can or other portable container which could cause damage or personal injury, when entering the ground or in a public area of the Ground from which the event can be directly viewed.
Supporters are also reminded that Section 9 of the regulations say that nobody may stand in any seated area whilst play is in progress. Persistent standing in seated areas is strictly forbidden and may result in ejection from the ground.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that as of 1 July 2007 the government introduced legislation to make virtually all enclosed public places and workplaces 'Smokefree' as such we would like to remind you of your responsibilities under the current act and help us to ensure that West Ham United FC complies with this Legislation by not smoking whilst within the confines of the stadium.

West Ham United FC has over recent years done everything in its power to raise the profile of the club as a community club. We wish to encourage families and genuine supporters to visit the Boleyn Ground and hope they enjoy the match day experience we provide in a safe and friendly atmosphere

West Ham United FC has a zero tolerance attitude to unsociable behavior and supports The Metropolitan Police and the Judiciary in their efforts to stamp out hooliganism and unsociable behavior.
