West Ham United Women found themselves on the end of a 1-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.
After a first half where both sides cancelled each other out, Brighton would open the scoring just before the hour mark – seizing on a mistake in midfield that allowed Kayleigh Green to head home beyond Arnold.
The Hammers battled until the end as they looked to grab a point, but they couldn’t find a way through a stern Seagulls defence.
