Winston Reid recalls his final Boleyn game winner two years on

Two years to the day since scoring the winner in the dramatic final Boleyn Ground game against Manchester United, Winston Reid hasn't forgotten the feeling.

As the Hammers prepare to face the Red Devils on 10 May again.- this time at their new London Stadium home - Reid recalled that momentous day.

“Scoring the last goal at the Boleyn Ground and beating Manchester United was a big moment,” the No2 said.

“We got a hiding from Swansea in the previous game, so we didn’t want to let ourselves or the fans down in the last game at the stadium.

“It was a great game of football to be involved in, very open with chances at both ends and it is one of those games you won’t forget.

“We had a good a team as any that year. Dimi was a special player, he could do everything, and every one of us bought into it. It was definitely a good year."
