The Hammers forward is on a shortlist of seven for the prize, alongside Liverpool's Phillippe Coutinho for his goal at Newcastle United, Pedro for Chelsea against Watford, Sofiane Boufal's individual effort for Southampton against West Bromwich Albion and Jamie Vardy's goal for Leicester City against Everton.
Three of Manchester City's seven goals against Stoke City are also in line for the award - Fernandinho, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane.
