England international goalkeeper Robert Green has become a popular figure at the Boleyn Ground since joining West Ham United from Norwich City in August 2006.

A fine shot-stopper, Green has become the club's undisputed No1 in recent seasons, while also becoming a regular member of the senior England squad.

Voted Hammer of the Year for the 2007/08 season, the goalkeeper has also finished as runner-up for the prestigious award on two occasions.

2011/12

Suffered a torn meniscus in his knee in the 1-0 home npower Championship defeat by Ipswich Town on 27 September 2011...Missed four matches with a knee injury, returning in the 3-2 home npower Championship win over Leicester City on 29 October 2011.

2010/11

Missed just one Barclays Premier League fixture, making 37 starts...Extended his streak of consecutive Premier League starts for the club to 143 matches before being forced to miss the 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers on 18 December 2010 through injury...Saved a penalty in the 3-1 home Premier League win over Wigan Athletic on 27 November 2010...Appeared in four FA Cup ties, saving a penalty from Matthew Etherington in the 2-1 sixth-round defeat at Stoke City...Appeared three times in West Ham United's run to the Carling Cup semi-finals...Kept seven clean sheets in 44 appearances in all competitions...Was voted Hammer of the Year runner-up for the second time...Won the Save of the Season award for his stop from Gareth Bale at Tottenham Hotspur on 19 March 2011.

Started all 38 Premier League, two League Cup and one FA Cup matches, missing just 17 minutes of league action after falling ill during the 4-0 home defeat by Manchester United on 5 December…Kept eight clean sheets, all in the Premier League…Ended the season on a run of 126 consecutive Premier League starts for the club.

2008/09

Started all 38 Premier League and four FA Cup matches, as well as the League Cup second-round victory over Macclesfield Town…Rested for the League Cup third-round defeat at Watford…Kept 12 clean sheets in all competitions, including two in the FA Cup victories over Barnsley and Hartlepool United…Saved a penalty from Jason Roberts in the 4-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers on 30 September…Voted Hammer of the Year runner-up.

2007/08

Joined West Ham United from Norwich City on 16 August for £2m…Made his debut in the 1-0 Premier League defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on 22 October…Lost his place to Roy Carroll between 6 January and 3 February, missing six matches, but returned to start the final 12 Premier League matches of the season as the Hammers escaped relegation…Produced a stunning man of the match display in the 1-0 Premier League win at Arsenal on 7 April…Started 26 Premier League matches, as well as the 2-1 League Cup third-round defeat at Chesterfield…Signed a new five-year-contract in summer 2007.
