A consistent right-back who was first-choice for his country at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Lars Jacobsen is a decorated defender.

Having starred for his hometown club, Odense Boldklub, Jacobsen has played with distinction in Denmark, Germany and England, winning three Danish Superliga titles with FC Copenhagen and reaching the FA Cup final with Everton.

The full-back joined West Ham United on transfer deadline day on 31 August 2010, with the move being formally ratified the following day.
