KIERON DYER

Born: 29 December 1978, Ipswich, Suffolk
Former clubs: Ipswich Town, Newcastle United

Capped more than 30 times by England, Kieron Dyer has long been considered one of English football's most exciting attackers.

Unfortunately for both the player and his country, Dyer's career has been blighted by injury in recent seasons - the most serious of them being a horrific leg break suffered in the League Cup tie at Bristol Rovers in August 2007.

A determined competitor, Dyer is eager to make up for lost time and show West Ham United fans exactly what he can do on a football pitch.
