BRIAN MONTENEGRO
Born: 18 June 1993, Paraguay
Former clubs: Tacuary, Club Deportivo Maldonado
A Paraguay Under-20 international forward and the first player from that country to represent the club, Brian Montenegro joined West Ham United on a season-long loan from Uruguayan side Club Deportivo Maldonado in August 2011.
Two-footed and blessed with good pace and technique, Montenegro will be hoping to continue his development after moving to Europe from South American football.
A willing and intelligent runner who is able to come short or use his speed to get in behind the opposition defence, the youngster has undoubted potential that he will hope to realise during his time with the Hammers

Starred for Paraguay at the South American Youth Championship in Peru in 2011, capping his tournament by scoring in his country's 3-2 group-stage defeat by Brazil...Scored for Paraguay Under-20s in a 5-1 friendly victory over Club Atletico 4 de Febrero in Ciudad del Este in December 2011.
Before West Ham United
Came through the ranks at Paraguayan Primera Division club Tacuary...Made 51 appearances for Tacuary over the previous two seasons - 26 of them starts - and scored seven goals...Finished the 2010/11 season by scoring three times in his final two appearances for Tacuary, including two goals in the last six minutes in a 2-1 victory over Guarani and the opener in a 2-0 win over Cerro Porteno.
