Manchester City 1-4 West Ham United
Division One
7 September 1966

West Ham United's last victory on this day came way back in 1966 when they made a very successful journey to the blue half of Manchester. There, City had no answer to the Hammers as they ran riot at Maine Road, running in four goals for the second successive away game.

The previous effort had seen them lose 5-4 at Leicester City, but the defensive side of their game was more in tune on this occassion as the hosts only found the net once. West Ham's goals came from Ronnie Boyce (pictured), John Sissons and a Geoff Hurst brace.

The Hammers would go on to finish 16th in Division One that season, one place and three points behind Manchester City.
