Lucky West Ham United fan Craig Apps was quick off the mark to win a pair of Adrian's gloves in our #Gloveaway competition!

As part of the Club's first-ever Social Media Match, the Hammers ran a unique competition with a money can't buy prize on its Twitter, Facebook and YouTube platforms.

Adrian left one of his gloves as a mystery location in east London with strong links to the Hammers' history and at midday on Wednesday a video containing clues of the venue was posted on YouTube.

Apps quickly worked out that the location was Memorial Park in West Ham - the site of the Club's first home ground as West Ham United, then known as the Memorial Grounds. He raced to the scene to pick up the prize and will complete the pair when he meets Adrian after Wednesday night's Barclays Premier League game against Hull City.

A Season Ticket Holder for the previous two campaigns, music teacher Apps was delighted with his prize, saying: "I would normally be at work today but I had the afternoon off, so I opened the laptop when I got in and I watched the video on Facebook. I thought 'That's only five minutes away from my house' so I got down here!

"I'm originally from Essex but I have lived in London for the past four years. I was a Season Ticket Holder for the last two seasons, but not this year, and this will actually be my first visit to Upton Park this season, so I'm looking forward to it! I was thinking about trying to get tickets today, then I lucked out!

"Adrian has been great, especially during those four wins on the trot in February. I'll be bringing my friend Azzy, who I had a Season Ticket with, so he'll love it as well. As for the score, I'll say 2-0, so come on you Irons!"

Moments after Apps had collected his prize, 13-year-old Joe Chilton arrived at the gates to Memorial Park, only to be initially left disappointed when told the glove had been claimed. Chilton, who is off school because of a teachers' strike, had travelled from his home in Becontree, only to turn up just a few minutes late.

However, the Club has invited the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand Season Ticket Holder, along with his Mum and his brother, to meet Adrian after the game as a consolation prize!
