Young Hammers defender Leo Chambers has been named in the England U19 squad for their international friendly against Turkey on Wednesday 5 March.

Noel Blake's England side will face their Turkish counterparts at Chester FC's Swansway Stadium as they prepare for the UEFA U19 Championship Elite Round, which comes around in May.

Chambers, who featured for the Hammers' first team in their Capital One Cup victories over Cheltenham Town, Cardiff City and Burnley earlier this season, has been capped once at U19 level before, scoring in a 6-1 win over Estonia in September.

He has also won international honours at U16, U17 and U18 levels.

Chambers will join fellow Hammers Sam Howes (U17), Reece Burke and Kyle Knoyle (U18) in turning out for the Young Lions in the coming weeks.
