West Ham United have been drawn to face Manchester City in the Capital One Cup semi-finals.
The Hammers will take on Manuel Pellegrini's men over two legs, with the first match taking place at the City of Manchester Stadium in the week commencing 6 January.
The teams will return to the Boleyn Ground for the second leg in the week commencing 20 January with a place in the final at Wembley the prize. Sunderland face Manchester United in the other semi-final.
West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce said: "I think Sunderland would have fancied they'd have got us and we'd have fancied Sunderland but we got Manchester City. It makes us the underdogs, of course, but underdogs have won in the semi-finals before. I did it against Aston Villa a few years ago and it was probably the best semi-final first leg you'll see as we won 5-3.
"We'll give it our best shot when that comes around but the most important thing for me is not that just yet. It's a great night for us, the draw's a tough one and we will look forward to that in January but we've got a lot of Premier League games to focus on before that."
