Blair Turgott will become the second West Ham United player to feature for Colchester United this season after signing for the U's on a month's loan.

The winger will join fellow Hammer Elliot Lee in appearing for the U's in 2013/14 after the striker played four times, scoring once, in a recent one-month loan spell.

Turgott could make his debut for the Sky Bet League One club when they travel to Prenton Park to face Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.

He would also be available for matches against Notts County, Oldham Athletic and Stevenage during loan spell with Joe Dunne's team.

Turgott has been a regular for the Development Squad this season, making nine appearances for the table-topping Hammers and scoring once.

The wideman will be met by a couple of familiar faces on arrival at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in the shape of former Hammers Freddie Sears and Dom Vose.

He joins Dan Potts (Portsmouth), Pelly Ruddock (Luton Town) and Jordan Spence (MK Dons) out on loan.
