Pelly Ruddock has joined Skrill Conference Premier outfit Luton Town on loan until 4 January.
The 20-year-old, who made his first-team debut in a 2-0 Capital One Cup victory at Burnley last month, is to link up with a Hatters side currently sitting second in the league, four points behind leaders Cambridge United.
First up, though, John Still's Luton side travel to Staines Town on Saturday in the Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy.
Now a mainstay in the heart of the Development Squad's back four, Ruddock signed for the Hammers from Boreham Wood in December 2011.
He joins Dan Potts (Portsmouth) and Jordan Spence (Milton Keynes Dons) on loan at lower league clubs.
