Teddy Sheringham opened the scoring before Hayden Mullins doubled his side's advantage with ten minutes to go.

David Bentley pulled one back in the final moments but it was not enough to deny Alan Pardew's team a much needed win.

The Hammers went onto finish the season in 15th place, avoiding relegation on the final day with victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
