West Ham United were part of an historic broadcast on Thursday as Sky Sports undertook a mammoth day of live programming from the 92 Barclays Premier League and Sky Bet Football League clubs in England and Wales.

Crews of reporters, cameramen and producers toured the country to present links from the stadia and training grounds of all the clubs in the top four divisions of English football.

Sky Sports News reporter Bryan Swanson visited the Hammers' Chadwell Heath training base in the morning to offer viewers a glimpse of the pre-season fitness testing the players were undergoing.

It all forms part of Sky's biggest ever season of Premier League coverage, which gets underway with the big kick-off on 17 August.

"It was an historic day for Sky Sports News as we broadcast live from all 92 Premier and Football League clubs," Swanson told whufc.com

"Technically and logistically it's a nightmare, but thankfully here at West Ham the access has been great. They've allowed our cables in and our satellite van on site, which means we've been able to get in and find out what the players are doing.

"It's a very exciting time for us - we've got 116 live Premier League matches this season and it's good to give viewers a flavour and a feel of pre-season, whether it's in the Premier League or through the divisions down to League Two.

"That's something that 92 Live is trying to do, show viewers that it's not all about the players and managers. Football clubs are about so much more, whether it's the fitness staff, the nutritionists, everything that goes on.

"We were at Dagenham & Redbridge earlier and the club secretary opened the gates for us at seven in the morning. We want to show viewers that little bit more about all the clubs."
