Once West Ham United full-back Tim Breacker is today celebrating his 48th birthday.

Breacker, who spent last season as first-team coach at npower Championship outfit Millwall, made the switch from Luton Town in October 1990, to join Billy Bonds' then second-tier Hammers.

A £600,000 signing, Breacker would help West Ham back to the top flight in his first season at the club. It proved to be the start of a largely successful nine-season stint in claret and blue, one that saw him turn out 298 times, bagging eight goals along the way.

The popular right-back eventually called time on his West Ham career in February 1999, making the short trip across London to join Queens Park Rangers. Two seasons thereafter and Breacker hung up his boots at the age of 35.

Breacker subsequently took up assistant manager posts at Plymouth Argyle, Leicester City and most recently Charlton Athletic, before being appointed to his latest role at the New Den.
