Dan Potts made a 45-minute appearance as England's Under-20 side warmed up for the FIFA U20 World Cup with a 3-0 practice match win over Uruguay on Sunday.

Uruguay and England are both staying in the Turkish resort of Antalya ahead of the tournament, which begins on Friday, so locked horns as they fine-tuned their preparations.

A goal in each half from Middlesbrough duo Luke Williams and Adam Reach, plus a late third from Everton striker Chris Long saw off Uruguay, who qualified by finishing third in this year's South American Youth Championship.

Potts played the second half as manager Peter Taylor gave all 21 members of his squad a run-out.

England's campaign begins against Iraq on Sunday 23 June in Antalya, with group matches against Chile and Egypt to follow.
