Ian Hendon's Development Squad continue their quest to win the Barclays U21 Premier League Group 1 title when they host Everton at Rush Green on Friday evening.

West Ham United are three points clear at the top of the table after winning six of their opening eight fixtures, including a thumping 5-1 victory at Everton on 26 August.

The Hammers have already chalked up one win this week, with Jordan Spence scoring the all-important goal in a 1-0 victory at Bolton Wanderers on Monday evening - a fourth straight win and a third consecutive clean sheet following successes against Arsenal (4-1), Norwich City (2-0) and Blackburn Rovers (2-0).

Hendon will be without Spence and fellow regulars Rob Hall and Leo Chambers against the Toffees, as all three will travel with the first-team squad to Wigan Athletic, but the coach is still confident that his team can keep their impressive run going.

"After losing 5-1 against us at home earlier in the season they will be desperate to win and I am sure their manager [Alan Stubbs] will remind them of that," said the coach. "There are no easy games and the lads are not that naive to think this one is going to be. It will be a tough game, but if we perform as we can we will get a positive result."

While Hendon will be without Spence, Hall and Chambers, he will still have ever-presents Callum Driver, Matthias Fanimo, Sebastian Lletget and George Moncur (pictured) to call upon, while Dan Potts, Eoin Wearen, Blair Turgott, Elliot Lee and Paul McCallum have also made big contributions already this term.

Kick-off at Rush Green is at 7pm, with admission prices set at £3 for Adults, £1 for Under-16s and FREE for Season Ticket Holders.

Rush Green Stadium is situated in Rush Green Road, Romford, Essex, RM7 0LU.
