Final score - Norwich City 0-0 West Ham United

93 mins - Norwich attack this time and Snodgrass has another great chance but again Jaaskelainen is there. The ball hits the Finn's legs and loops over the top. The corner comes over drops to Benayoun, who punts upfield. Norwich attack again and this time the long ball into the box is headed on by Morison straight into the arms of Jaaskelainen. The goalkeeper holds on and the final whistle is blown. How on earth that game finished goalless I will never know!

92 mins - Into added time and West Ham have possession. Demel crosses low but it's a dribbler straight to Ruddy at the near post.

90 mins - What a chance! But for Norwich! The free-kick is headed clear to Diame, whose shot is blocked and falls to a yellow shirt. They have three on two and the ball is worked to the unmarked Kane on the edge of the box, but he shoots first-time and too close to Jaaskelainen. The Finn falls to his left and makes the save. Kane should have done better.

90 mins - West Ham have another chance to deliver quality into the box as Jarvis is bundled over by Bassong. That followed good work from Benayoun and Maiga down the right.

88 mins - Diame finds Jarvis down the left. He checks and crosses. Nolan flicks on and the ball hits a Norwich defender and goes behind. Noble to take the corner. Collins wins the header but nods over the top from six yards. That was a decent opportunity.

87 mins - Benayoun is on for his second debut in place of Vaz Te. The No15 gets a great reception from the travelling fans.

86 mins - Good composed defending from Reid. Diame races down the left, cuts inside and is fouled. Good free-kick to win.

85 mins - Kane does well to beat Noble but he cannot find the target with his shot from 25 yards. That was a decent chance for the youngster.

83 mins - Former Leeds team-mates Howson and Snodgrass combine again but luckily the ball drops on to the No7's weaker right foot and his shot dribbles into the arms of Jaaskelainen.

81 mins - Into the final ten minutes and it's gone a bit quiet. West Ham have had the better of it since the substitutions.

78 mins - West Ham clear from a Johnson free-kick. Vaz Te collects and races 50 yards up the pitch before checking. He only had two men to aim for. The cross comes in and Nolan's header flies behind for a goal kick. Seconds later, Vaz Te has another chance to run at Garrido but again he chooses to cross and it is too deep. Goal kick.

76 mins - Vaz Te does well in midfield before the ball is played to Jarvis. He looks up and lets fly from about 30 yards. The ball flashes a yard over the top. The attendance today is 26,806.

75 mins - Noble's corner is low and hits a defender on the shins and goes behind. The second corner is better, but cleared.

74 mins - Maiga robs Bassong but he initially has no support. He makes for the penalty area before pulling the ball back for Jarvis. He takes a touch and his right-foot shot is deflected wide of the target for a corner.

71 mins - Harry Kane is on for Holt. He is a Tottenham Hotspur youngster who was on loan at Millwall last year.

70 mins - Demel gets forward well and crosses dangerously to the near post. Nolan swings a boot but it's blocked. Noble heads the loose ball to himself but his cross is straight into Ruddy's hands. West Ham attack again and Diame does superbly to beat two men, but then crosses into the stand...

68 mins - Reid and Morison challenge for a Ruddy clearance and the ball drops to the striker. He shoots first-time, but the ball dips a couple of yards over the top. That was a half-chance. He could have taken a touch. West Ham are defending too deep, according to Steve Froggatt, the former Coventry City player commentating on the radio to my right.

67 mins - O'Brien handles and Norwich have a free-kick about 45 yards from goal. Snodgress curls the cross in and O'Brien himself heads clear.

65 mins - Jarvis has his first real run and takes the ball forward 30 yards straight at Garrido. He chops back on to his left foot and puts in the cross but it's just too far in front of Vaz Te and Maiga. Close. Norwich have the physio on for Snodgrass and everyone, including Mr Foy, has a quick drink. It is hot out there.

63 mins - Jarvis is playing wide on the right, with Vaz Te on the left. Maiga is through the middle. The ball loops into the air just outside the Norwich box and he finds Maiga, but Martin gets in and takes the ball away from the No11 before clearing for a throw. Morison is on for Jackson.

61 mins - Noble slides in on Snodgrass and concedes a foul to the right of the penalty area. Snodgrass takes to the far post, Bassong wins it and heads back across goal for Barnett, whose looping header is held by Jaaskelainen. The home fans roared in expectation as that ball headed goalwards...

60 mins - Noble finds Demel with a crossfield pass. He swaps passes with Vaz Te before launching a cross that goes behind again.

59 mins - Vaz Te is off to the races down the inside-left channel. He has Maiga inside but elects to cross first-time with his left foot and gets it wrong. The ball lands on top of the net. Head in hands from Big Sam.

57 mins - Both substitutes get a handshake from Big Sam before they go on. Cole is the first man to be replaced, with Taylor the second man to go off. Maiga and Jarvis are on.

56 mins - I think Jarvis is going to be on soon as Neil McDonald calls him back to the dugout. Maiga is also getting ready. Meanwhile, Jaaskelainen is worked again as he holds on to Johnson's low shot.

54 mins - Norwich are on top at present. They have great energy in their side. West Ham have Maiga and Jarvis warming up.

52 mins - I cannot type fast enough! The corner comes in again and Collins makes the headed clearance after another melee. The ball finally finds Snodgrass 25 yards out, but he drags his shot low and wide. This is ridiculously action-packed.

50 mins - A West Ham attack breaks down when Cole has to leave the ball as he is offside. The hosts break through Howson, who runs past Nolan and passes left to Jackson, whose shot flies wide off Demel. Collins heads the corner clear to Diame, who beats two men before trying to pick out the run of Vaz Te. Ruddy gets there first and his punt falls to Howson. Jackson picks up possession and elects to ignore Bassong to his left and shoot powerfully. Jaaskelainen does superbly to divert the ball over the top.

48 mins - Reid snuffs out an attack by nipping in and intercepting in front of Jackson. Vaz Te runs away down the right and has three to aim for in the middle, but his cross is a poor one and flies over the bar. Norwich come again and Collins blocks a long-range shot from Surman.

46 mins - Cole wins the flick-on to Nolan, but his attempt to find Taylor doesn't reach. Cole collects the clearance and crosses right-footed, but Ruddy punches clear and the Canaries break. Surman finds the overlapping player, whose cross is headed out by Reid. We've started as we finished before the break!

Both teams are back out on the sun-drenched pitch here at Carrow Road. West Ham will kick-off...

Half-time score - Norwich City 0-0 West Ham United

46 mins - A truly breathless first half comes to a close. Both sides missed opportunities to score, but we're goalless at the break. West Ham have plenty of options on the bench, including club-record signing Matt Jarvis and Modibo Maiga, who scored for Mali during the international break.

44 mins - Reid allows the ball to bounce and Norwich nearly profit, but the cross is too strong and clears the crossbar.

42 mins - Cole wins the header from Jaaskelainen's goal kick and it drops to Demel. He finds Nolan, who holds off his man and feeds Vaz Te. He has two to aim for but his cross hits Diame on the head and bounces away for a goal kick. Unlucky.

41 mins - Johnson smashes the free-kick into the nine-man wall and it rebounds to Garrido, who slams the shot high over the top. West Ham escape.

40 mins - Surman curls over the corner and Cole heads clear at the near post. The ball is thrown into Surman, who is brought down by a sliding Collins right on the edge of the box. Or is it inside? Replays suggest it may or may not have been on the line! The Norwich players want a penalty, but it's a free-kick, albeit a very dangerous one.

39 mins - A hoof forward goes backwards off Taylor's head and Reid has to slide in to concede the corner. Snodgrass curls it over and O'Brien heads behind again at the far post.

37 mins - Jackson is a real livewire. He never stops moving. He is flagged offside again but it was close. The free-kick is launched towards Cole, who is penalised for a foul. He doesn't like the decision, and nor does Nolan.

36 mins - Cole and Diame combine well down the left. The midfielder cuts inside and shoots. The ball takes a nick off a defender and Ruddy holds on low down. Vaz Te was sniffing around for any rebound so the goalkeeper had to hold on to that ball.

34 mins - According to @Dutchgladiator1, that was 'fantastic defending by West Ham but they really need to put the pressure on up front'. I have to agree! Noble curls a free-kick into the box and Ruddy collects. Norwich break and the ball drops to Holt inside the penalty area, but he sidefoots his shot wide of the left-hand post.

33 mins - George McCartney and Michael Turner are chatting together as they warm-up. They are former Sunderland team-mates, of course.

30 mins - I honestly didn't catch all of that, but in the melee Jaaskelainen made at least two saves and one more shot was cleared off the line. That all stemmed from O'Brien being challenged inside his own half and West Ham failing to clear the resulting corner. Snodgrass had at least one of the shots. The action only ended when Barnett's header looped over the crossbar. West Ham are fortunate not to be behind there.

27 mins - A loose clearance drops to Vaz Te and he runs at the Norwich defence, drops a shoulder and sees his left-foot shot deflected wide. The corner is cleared and it seems the Norwich attack is thwarted before Jaaskelainen's clearance finds O'Brien and he is challenged. Norwich have two on two but Collins gets back and concedes a corner. From that, all hell breaks loose!

26 mins - West Ham have Jarvis, Diarra and Maiga warming up on the touchline. How's that for strength in depth? All internationals.

25 mins - West Ham come forward again but this time James Collins' shot flies high and wide.

23 mins - According to @Matt__Dave on twitter 'Diame is playing like Messi'. He has started the game well, that's for sure. @HuntyCaller agrees: 'So enjoying this early promise shown by Diame @whufc_official . Class shines through together with wonderful strength'.

21 mins - This is end-to-end football. Norwich win a free-kick on halfway and Demel is forced to head behind under pressure from Barnett. The corner is a pre-planned low one, but Nolan makes the block and West Ham clear through Vaz Te and Demel.

19 mins - I can't believe Nolan has not scored there! O'Brien collects Diame's pass and somehow gets round three defenders before cutting the ball back for the captain, who shoots straight at Ruddy from 12 yards. He normally buries those.

17 mins - Action everywhere! Snodgrass hits the wall before receiving a pass from Surman. His second shot hits Nolan and then Taylor's loose touch gives the ball to Snodgrass again. He gets past Taylor and then knocks the ball past Nolan before going down. Again, no penalty is given. Nolan gives Snodgrass a piece of his mind. Replays show there was contact, but was it a foul?

16 mins - Norwich will have a chance to shoot from 25 yards as Noble bundles over Johnson just outside the D. The No4 was about to shoot, so it might be a 'good' foul, but that remains to be seen... Snodgrass fancies it...

13 mins - So close to an opener for West Ham! Diame finds Vaz Te in space with a superb outside-of-the-foot pass. He gets to the byline and crosses. Ruddy gets a touch and Cole has to crane his neck to head goalwards. Martin gets back and hacks off the line as far as Taylor, who takes a touch and fires just wide with his right foot. Agonising!

12 mins - Surman is lively and he gets goalside of Demel again. He elects to cross early with his left foot and Jaaskelainen catches.

10 mins - A neat interplay between Jackson and Surman and the midfielder tries to get in behind Demel. The Ivorian gets his right foot to the ball and pokes it back to Jaaskelainen. Norwich shading it at the moment. Their midfield is full of movement and clever little runs.

8 mins - It is a REALLY open game so far. Norwich come again and a diagonal ball across finds Snodgrass, but his first-time cross is mis-hit and Reid is able to clear with ease.

Fans at Norwich

5 mins - Norwich win a throw down the West Ham right. Surman collects a low pass and cuts inside Demel before opening up his body and trying to bend the shot into the far corner. He doesn't quite get enough curl on the shot and it flies a couple of yards wide. 'Ooooohs' from the home fans. That was a decent opening.

4 mins - West Ham have started well. Diame is again involved before McCartney crosses, but it's too high. Vaz Te wins a throw on the near side and the Hammers work the ball to Demel, but his cross is too close to Ruddy, who catches. Breathless so far!

2 mins - West Ham break through Diame who wins a challenge and then a corner. Noble's delivery is cleared as far as Taylor, who takes a touch on the edge of the box before shooting. The ball takes a deflection off a Norwich player and is heading wide. Nolan tries to divert it on target with his head, but the ball skims off him and out for a goal kick.

1 min - Norwich want a penalty as Jackson gets into space behind Demel, checks and crosses to the far post. The ball eludes Reid's head and bounces up and hits O'Brien, but nothing is given by the referee. Taylor clears and Diame brings the ball forward...

12.45pm - We've kicked-off and both sets of fans are making a right racket! The Hammers supporters are directly opposite us in the Jarrold Stand. Great noise from them as always.

12.44pm - If you are watching at home or in the pub, send us your tweets to @whufc_official and we'll print a selection on here during the game...

12.40pm - To view exclusive images from Carrow Road, visit our official Facebook page. Here come the two teams...

12.37pm - Both sets of fans applaud as a tribute is read out to those involved in the Hillsborough disaster following the publication of the Independent Report this week that exonerated the fans of any blame for the terrible incident that left 96 fans tragically dead. The big screen here echoes the sentiments of everyone in football with the message 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

12.30pm - We could do with a repeat of the result we achieved here on 11 March 1939, when West Ham won 6-2 at Carrow Road, with Sam Small scoring a hat-trick! That game was in the old Division Two, while today's fixture is the first Premier League meeting between the two clubs. It is nearly 40 years since the Hammers last won a league game here, when Bryan 'Pop' Robson scored the only goal of the game.

12.25pm - We're being introduced to the mascots, including the a green and yellow dinosaur wearing a Norwich kit called Sportasaurus! Love it. I'd suggest Sportasaurus is probably sweating a bit in this weather, I'd suggest. It is sunny and nice and warm up here in Norfolk.

12.10pm - West Ham have brought a third goalkeeper with them this afternoon. Gines Guzman Rosique is a scholar from Spain who has been invited along to help Jussi Jaaskelainen and Stephen Henderson warm-up with Martyn Margetson. Gary O'Neil and Rob Hall also travelled and will cheer their team-mates on from the stand.

11.50am - One change for the Hammers, with Carlton Cole replacing the injured Andy Carroll to make his 150th West Ham start. Yossi Benayoun and Matt Jarvis are on the bench.

Norwich City: Ruddy, Martin, Barnett, Bassong, Garrido, Johnson, Surman, Snodgrass, Howson, Holt, Jackson
Subs: Rudd, Turner, Hoolahan, Morison, Tierney, Kane, Fox

West Ham United: Jaaskelainen, Demel, Collins, Reid, O'Brien, Noble, Diame, Nolan, Vaz Te, Taylor, Cole
Subs: Henderson, McCartney, Tomkins, Benayoun, Diarra, Jarvis, Maiga

11.30am - For those unaware of the EA Sports Player Performance Index, West Ham have made a statistically strong start to 2012/13. Using a host of stats and analysis, Winston Reid is ranked as the third-best defender in the Barclays Premier League so far, with James Collins ranked seventh and Guy Demel 12th. Jussi Jaaskelainen is ranked third of all goalkeepers, while Matt Taylor and Kevin Nolan are both in the top-20 midfielders. Finally, Ricardo Vaz Te is ranked tenth in the forwards category. For full details about the EA Sports PPI, click here.

11.15am - Two West Ham players are set to reach personal milestones today. Carlton Cole would make his 150th Hammers start if he is selected, while Mohamed Diame would make his 100th Premier League appearance.

Good morning and welcome to Carrow Road for today's Barclays Premier League fixture between Norwich City and West Ham United.

The Hammers go into their third consecutive lunchtime league kick-off knowing victory would take them up to second in the table. An unlikely six-goal triumph would take Sam Allardyce's side above Chelsea to the top of the tree, but let's not get carried away.

West Ham have taken six points from a possible nine and start the weekend in seventh position. However, Big Sam's men were beaten in their only previous away fixture, 3-0 at Swansea City on 25 August. That defeat was the Hammers' first on the road since 31 January.

Norwich have taken two points from three matches to start the weekend in 15th. However, two of those games have been on the road at Fulham (0-5) and Tottenham Hotspur (1-1). The Canaries drew 1-1 at home with Queens Park Rangers in their only previous league game at Carrow Road this term.

It is nearly seven years since West Ham's last trip to Norfolk, when Hayden Mullins and Bobby Zamora netted in a 2-1 FA Cup third-round victory on 7 January 2006. League-wise, the Hammers drew 1-1 at Carrow Road in the Championship on 21 February 2004, with Marlon Harewood scoring and Matty Etherington being sent-off.

Team news-wise, Big Sam welcomes back the fit-again Matt Jarvis and George McCartney, while the club's international players have all returned from duty unscathed. Yossi Benayoun could make his second 'debut' for the club, while James Tomkins is pushing for a start and Carlton Cole or Modibo Maiga are set to replace the injured Andy Carroll (hamstring). Jack Collison (knee) is the only other absentee.

For Norwich, Elliott Bennett (knee) and new arrival Steven Whittaker (ankle) are both injured, while Elliott Ward, who won the Championship Play-Offs with West Ham in 2005, has been left out of the Canaries' 25-man Barclays Premier League squad.

The team news will be confirmed at 11.45am and published first on the club's official twitter feed.
