Mohamed Diame, Matt Jarvis and Ricardo Vaz Te were at the Stadium Superstore to meet hundreds of West Ham United supporters on Thursday.

The Hammers trio spent more than an hour-and-a-half happily chatting to fans, signing autographs and posing for photographs ahead of Saturday's Barclays Premier League visit of Fulham to the Boleyn Ground.

New signings Diame and Jarvis were given a proper East End welcome, while Vaz Te spoke warmly about his fond memories of firing West Ham to promotion at Wembley in May.

The No12 said he and his team-mates were delighted to see so many smiling faces.

"It was very nice to the supporters and it was good to see that they appreciate what we do," said Vaz Te. "The support is amazing and the club is about them so for them to show us such admiration is overwhelming really and I enjoy it. It's always a pleasure.

"I think the way they support the club is fantastic. These are regular people who spend their hard-earned money to watch the games, so I think this is the least we can do. They support us every week so I am grateful that people want to come and see me!

"Pretty much everybody mentioned Wembley but that is in the past now. We can't keep on thinking about that because it's gone now and we're playing in the Premier League. We've regained our status as a Premier League side and now we want to establish ourselves again."

Hammerhead and Bubbles the Bear were also on hand to greet young supporters, who were able to enjoy a visit to the Boleyn Ground before they return to school for the new academic year next week. Many took the opportunity to stock up on back to school products including stationery sets and pencil cases.

The new 2012/13 Macron replica home goalkeeper kit was also on sale for the first time on Thursday and will be available instore and from the Official Online Store ahead of Saturday's big London derby with the Cottagers.
