Men's Health Programme

The Men's Health Programme

The Men's Health Programme is a Free 8 week physical activity and lifestyle programme for Male Newham residents between the ages of 18-45 who are not currently engaged in any physical activity.

The programme enables participant's to access a range of excellent facilities including a purpose built gym at the Boleyn Ground and 3G Astro pitch. Throughout the programme qualified Health Trainer Coaches will guide participants towards achieving healthier lifestyle goals via a combination of improved nutritional knowledge, lifestyle awareness and increased physical activity.

The Men's Health Programme aims to empower men in the community to make positive lifestyle changes that benefit both them and the people around them. Information on how to live a healthier lifestyle can be passed down to their families and children, so that the programme's benefits can be felt throughout the whole community.

At the end of the 8 week programme participants are helped to find suitable physical activity options whilst still receiving regular support from our Health Trainer Coaches.

At the official launch earlier this year, Academy Director Tony Carr showed his support for the scheme, and spoke about his own personal story.  "There should be no barriers to living a healthy, active life.  Three years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have had to learn to live with the condition.  Taking the first step to living a healthier lifestyle is easier than you think"

Sessions currently run on a Monday, Wednesday evening and Saturday morning.
