Peter John Walker ( Dec 1947 - Aug 2009)
Peter, a lifelong supporter of West Ham United sadly passed away on August 29.

Born within the sound of the Bow Bells he was destined to be a hammer. Pete would often recall memories of our FA Cup victories and when "West Ham won the World Cup", for which he was proud to say he was there. But his proudest West Ham moment was when his Grandson Elliot, who has a season ticket in the East Lower, was a mascot in 2006. You can guarantee he'll be keeping a close eye on our results. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends of whom some will be in the ground for the match against Liverpool.

John Stone

John Stone passed away on 11 August 2009 following a brave fight against pancreatic cancer. John was 61 and a season ticket holder in the Bobby Moore Stand. He regularly attended games with Stephen and Greg.

An ardent Hammer he would always wear his colours where ever he could. The picture shows John in his shirt standing outside the Maracana Stadium before watching a game whilst on holiday with his wife Carol. A true West Ham fan who will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him. Rest in Peace.

Jim Pettipher

Jim Pettipher of Royston and formerly of Saffron Walden and Bishop's Stortford, died suddenly on Wednesday August 19 2009, aged 66 years. Born in Romford, a lifelong West Ham United fan and loving father of Emma, Daniel and Amy, much loved grandfather of George, Sasha, Jack and Harry and will be sadly missed by both Christines, his family and many friends.

Paul Gibson

Paul Gibson sadly passed away on the 15 August at only 52 years old.

Even though he was born and bred in the North East, his passion for the Hammers was the same as if he had been from the east end itself.

He has recently been laid to rest with his coffin draped in the West Ham flag and to the sound of 'Bubbles.'
We went to many a match together including in a box for his 40th where he met one of his heroes, Martin Peters.
His real favourite was Julian Dicks, however, who was still man of the match in every game in Paul's eyes, even long after he'd retired.

He is now at rest with another of his heroes, Bobby Moore, and will undoubtedly be 'Forever Blowing Bubbles'

Martin Smeaton (1953 to 2009)

Martin, a lifelong Hammers supporter, sadly (and prematurely at 56) passed away on 23 Aug 2009. With a hint of irony (for he was a passionate cricket fan also) this was the day that England regained the Ashes. Some say he had some influence on the result from beyond this world !!. Martin was both a great friend and a work colleague for many years, and having taken early retirement in 2002, spent much of his time helping a number of charities - most notably the Society of Our Lady of Lourdes. I will miss the regular meet-ups at the ground prior to matches, where we were able to catch up on events and enjoy many Hammers games together over the last 30 or so years. He leaves behind a wife - Linda - and four stepdaughters, as well as an extensive, loving family.
