Chadwell Chatter - Andy Carroll

It’s great to be back out there on the pitch, but to score a goal and get the winner against Chelsea, in front of our fans, is even sweeter. It's an unbelievable feeling.

And it had been a long time coming too. It was a long injury and it was a long time to spend away from the pitch.

I couldn’t really tell you what the celebration was. I suppose all the emotion just came out in that moment. Maybe I was tired and thought I’d have a little lie down!

It's a lot harder coming off the bench, I know that. You've got to get up to speed with the game. You're obviously a lot fresher than the lads that have played from the start, but for those first five minutes, you’re playing catch-up.

The strength of the squad's fantastic at the minute. We’re playing the lone striker so it's tough for the four strikers to get in. It's four players fighting for one spot, which can only be a good thing for the team in the long run.

Watford are a good team, no doubt about it. You saw that in what they did at Stoke City last weekend.

The quality coming up from the Championship is so impressive and that's why we've got to play every game as if we're playing against the champions. That’s definitely what we’re trying to do.

We can't look at the teams who came up and think we’re just going to beat them. Every team in the Premier League can beat you and beat one another, so it's going to be another tough game.

But another winner on Saturday? That would be nice, wouldn’t it.

Come on you Irons,
Andy
