Boleyn Insider

In our exciting new feature on whufc.com, the Boleyn Insider blog will bring you exclusive insight into the behind-the-scenes goings on at the Boleyn Ground.

The Boleyn Insider will try to offer a digest on the latest gossip from around the Club and the major transfer speculation surrounding the first-team. In today's blog, he clears up the speculation surrounding a possible move for Charlie Austin and Alex Song.

The speculation continues to grow over which players will be arriving at the Boleyn Ground during the summer.

West Ham have been strongly linked with a move for QPR striker Charlie Austin.

Several reports have suggested that the Club have already made an offer for the England forward but my sources have told me that there has been no bid made for the 25-year-old.

The Club continues to be linked with making a move to bring back Alex Song from Barcelona and complete his signing on a permanent basis following his season-long loan at the Boleyn Ground.

I understand that the Club are hoping to strike a deal to bring him back, but there is a chance that he might go elsewhere during the summer.

I have been told that the Club are hopeful of making some signings in the next seven days with three new arrivals looking very possible.

But my sources say that the deals are taking longer than expected as the various parties involved try to reach the right deal.

With the draw for the Europa League taking place on Monday and the players returning for pre-season training, I understand every effort is being made to strengthen the squad ahead of a busy period for the Club under new manager Slaven Bilic.
